In Assos they gave textile engineers the task of creating a breathable and durable shorts with ASSOS performance and an affordable price. The result? Incredible cross-country braces shorts.

• OFFROAD wom insert: Tighter fit at the front to reduce clutter and increase comfort during mountain biking, this specific mountain bike insert was specifically designed for motorcyclists but employs all standard ASSOS S7 generation technology, with a 10 mm increase in foam memory for greater off-road comfort.
• Type.429 Titanium: a unique fabric, designed with experience that uses a 4-way stretch to maximize the elasticity of the fabric.
• DyneRope tex: The complete side panels are made of our brand new dyneRope fabric, a tight weave with a black polyethylene ripstop weave. The strongest fiber in the world, 15 times stronger than steel. Lightweight and cut resistant. This material has been placed eternally where the legs of the riders are more exposed to the risk of abrasion when they crash.
• AeroPatterningFenomenon1 design: drawing on everything we have learned from our project to create the fastest tracksuit for the 2012 London Olympics, this technical design is immediately perceptible when wearing the short. Made with a single patent-pending seam that sits on the back of the legs, this means that the main fabric of the short wrap around the thighs offers a unique level of comfort and compression from our generation of S7 shorts.
• Y7 frame carrier bibTech: another notable difference in our S7 generation of shorts can be found on the bibs themselves. Cut from a wider elastic, they sit with less pressure on the shoulders. Design meets two objectives: less friction and more comfort.
• ASSOS goldenGate technology inside the insert interrupts the seam in the area between the legs to create three-dimensional freedom of movement in the most sensitive area. This design has less seams, which results in reduced friction. This is a patent-protected function that is critical to our generation of S7 shorts.
• The ASSOS waffle was introduced on the S5 and was further refined for S7. Instead of using a monolithic linear foam as an intermediate layer, S7 has a perforated foam with consequent weight reduction and greater breathability.
• Sens 2L: super soft tested fabric used for the bib.
• Schnalle: Based on feedback from our testers, we developed a magnetic closure for our monobib shorts, which descend to the center of the chest with an attractive and performance-oriented design that is both easy to assemble, and to release and not hinder your movement while in the driving position. It is a design that is equally suitable for road and off-road raids.
• OdorControl: we treated the shorts with an anti-bacterial treatment.
• MTB-specific leg grippers: mountain biking can be a grueling sport and, as such, ask for a lot of legs, so it is essential that they have sufficient compression and grip to push on the climbs.
• OFFROAD XC RACING LINE: At ASSOS we realize that the wearability of your clothing is fundamental to its performance. When we design a product to perform in the most extreme conditions, for example during racing, we use a tighter and slightly more compressive fit. It will feel like a second skin while driving, although it is likely to feel restrictive when it is not in the driving position. As a result, higher performance, greater comfort and less resistance are achieved.
