The Castelli Superleggera bib shorts are a cycling shorts developed with a new fabric. Material with a woven texture instead of knitted that reduces the weight by 30%, ensuring the same level of support without being transparent. A fabric has been built that becomes increasingly lighter towards the bottom of the leg, with the final part weighing only 90 g / m2 compared to the normal fabric used for shorts that weighs about 220 g / m2. This fabric, while being incredibly light, maintains good durability and also boasts good abrasion resistance, at least those of the saddle. Please note that if dry you gain just 48 grams, while sweating it absorbs about 30% of the humidity. So while climbing the Alpe d'Huez you will actually be saving about 150 grams. This shorts does not compromise on comfort. The best seamless X2 Air Seamless pad and the spectacular suspenders with striped net of the Free Aero Race 4 model and a flat, elasticized, non-slip bottom that used to keep the shorts in place were used.
