The frame of the Scale is made with a monocoque carbon fiber construction. The use of one mold for the main triangle of the bike results in better stiffness and more efficiency thanks to the continuity of the carbon. High modulus and ultra-high modulus carbon is used for the best possible power transfer. Overall, this frame weighs in at just 912 grams, cutting 57 grams off the already incredibly lightweight 2022 model. Despite such a heavy focus on stiffness and weight, the carbon has targeted flexibility in certain areas to maintain compliance. The Scale RC offers a geometry for the highest level of performance. It focuses on position and handling. When creating the frame, Scott considered a wide range of riders and course profiles so every rider can feel fast on every course. The geometry was based around the championship-winning Scott Spark but adjusted to suit a hardtail, resulting in pure speed and impeccable handling.
Small details are what really make the Scott Scale RC unique. A hollow dropout construction shaves off more weight and allows for the use of a lighter rear triangle. Both the brake mount and chain guide have been simplified to shave off more weight without harming function. This version is equipped with a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS groupset with a power meter for elite 12-speed electronic shifting. Maintenance is easier than ever with a service door that allows you to access the interior without removing the bottom bracket.
